Portsmouth has a long and proud naval history, and the Royal Naval Museum at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard is the place to find out all about it. Here you can step foot on the HMS Victory, the oldest commissioned ship in the world, which serves as a memorial to Nelson. But the highlight is the Mary Rose which was raised from its ocean bed in 1982.
