Best Known For:

Bradford was an important industrial city during the Industrial Revolution, and was known as the world capital of wool. But despite this it is actually a very beautiful city to visit and is full of picturesque gardens and parks. It was even named the greenest city in Britain in 2007 by the Sustainable Cities Index.

Bradford has a very large Muslim population, and it also boasts a large number of excellent curry houses, about 70 in total, making a trip to one of its many restaurants an essential item on the list of things to do here.
